Ich habe CoreLeoni 2019 im Siegburger Kubana gesehen, damals noch mit Ronnie Romero am Micro. Überzeugt hat mich die Band um Gotthard Gitarrist Leo Leoni damals nicht. Ganz anders als Co Headliner mit Tyketto in der Kölner Kantine. Hier war richtig Dampf drin und der Set der Tessiner von Anfang bis Ende perfekt. Die Hauptband von Leo ist mir tatsächlich inzwischen seit Jahren zu soft und weichgespült; CoreLeoni eine perfekte Fortführung der alten Gotthard.
I saw CoreLeoni in 2019 at the Kubana in Siegburg, back when Ronnie Romero was still on vocals. At the time, the band led by Gotthard guitarist Leo Leoni didn’t really win me over. It was a completely different story when they co-headlined with Tyketto at the Kantine in Cologne. They really brought the energy there, and the Ticino band’s set was perfect from start to finish. Leo’s main band has actually been too soft and watered-down for my taste for years now; CoreLeoni is a perfect continuation of the old Gotthard.
Ho visto i CoreLeoni nel 2019 al Kubana di Siegburg, all’epoca ancora con Ronnie Romero al microfono. Allora la band capitanata dal chitarrista dei Gotthard Leo Leoni non mi aveva convinto. Tutt’altra cosa è stato il concerto come co-headliner con i Tyketto alla Kantine di Colonia. Lì c’era davvero una grande energia e il set dei ticinesi è stato perfetto dall’inizio alla fine. La band principale di Leo, in realtà, mi sembra ormai da anni troppo soft e edulcorata; i CoreLeoni sono invece la perfetta continuazione dei vecchi Gotthard.
