In der Filmreihe Music Matters: Soundtrack Deutschland in den Filmen von Oliver Schwabe, wurde am 28. Januar im Herzkammer-Saal der Zentralbibliothek Düsseldorf der 2021 gedrehte Film „Doro-The Queen Of Metal“ gezeigt.
Anschließend folgte ein Gespräch zwischen Doro Pesch und Oliver Schwabe, und Moderator Sven-André Dreyer. Danach hatten die anwesenden Fans die Möglichkeit, Doro Fragen zu stellen, Selfies zu machen und jede Menge Autogramme von der Düsseldorferin schreiben zu lassen.
Und wieder einmal reisten jede Menge Die Hard Fans aus dem In- und Ausland an, um Doro zu treffen. Und diese nahm sich geduldig Zeit, die Wünsche der Fans zu erfüllen.
Der Film war mir bis dato nicht bekannt. Eine tolle sechzig minütige Zusammenfassung von Doros Schaffensphase, in der zum Teil sehr tief in die Filmkiste gegriffen wurde. Andre Olbrich und Hansi Kürsch von Blind Guardian kamen genauso zu Wort, wie Klaus Meine von den Scorpions und Doros Busenfreundin, Box Weltmeisterin Regina Halmich.
Ein gelungener Abend, der gerne noch ein paar Stunden länger hätte sein können.
As part of the film series Music Matters: Soundtrack Germany in the films of Oliver Schwabe, the 2021 film “Doro—The Queen of Metal” was shown on January 28 in the Herzkammer Hall of the Düsseldorf Central Library.
This was followed by a discussion between Doro Pesch, Oliver Schwabe, and moderator Sven-André Dreyer. Afterwards, fans in attendance had the opportunity to ask Doro questions, take selfies, and get lots of autographs from the Düsseldorf native.
Once again, lots of die-hard fans traveled from Germany and abroad to meet Doro. And she patiently took the time to fulfill her fans‘ wishes.
I wasn’t familiar with the film until then. It’s a great 60-minute summary of Doro’s creative phase, which delves deep into the film archives in places. Andre Olbrich and Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian had their say, as did Klaus Meine from the Scorpions and Doro’s close friend, boxing world champion Regina Halmich.
It was a successful evening that could easily have lasted a few hours longer.
