Die Mittelalter/Rock/Metal Band Schandmaul spielte anschließend auf der Wackinger Stage. Die Band sollte bereits 2024 in Wacken spielen, aber krankheitsbedingt (bei Sänger Thomas Lindner hatte man Krebs diagnostiziert) kurzfristig abgesagt. Nach der Chemo sind die Stimmbänder von Thomas derart in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden, dass er nicht mehr singen kann und das Micro an Marco Andreas Klingel alias Till Herence übergeben hat. Thomas geht den weiteren Weg mit Schandmaul am Klavier/Keyboard, Akustikgitarre und Akkordeon mit.
Ich habe die Band vormals nie gesehen, war aber von der Darbietung der „Mäuler“ sehr angetan. Marco scheint sich optimal in die Band integriert zu haben und umgekehrt von der Band bestens aufgenommen worden zu sein. Für mich ein toller Gig. Optimistisch kann man da auf zukünftige Alben und Konzerte hoffen.
The medieval/rock/metal band Schandmaul then played on the Wackinger Stage. The band was supposed to play in Wacken in 2024, but had to cancel at short notice due to illness (singer Thomas Lindner had been diagnosed with cancer). After chemotherapy, Thomas‘ vocal cords were so damaged that he could no longer sing and handed the microphone over to Marco Andreas Klingel, alias Till Herence. Thomas continues with Schandmaul on piano/keyboard, acoustic guitar, and accordion.
I had never seen the band before, but I was very impressed by the performance of the “Mäuler.” Marco seems to have integrated himself perfectly into the band and, conversely, to have been very well received by the band. For me, it was a great gig. We can be optimistic about future albums and concerts.
