19 Jahre A Chance For Metal Festival und das zweite Jahr in der Ochtendunger Kulturhalle. Der gute Eindruck, den ich im letzten Jahr von der neuen Location hatte, bestätigte sich auch in diesem Jahr wieder: bombastische Halle, riesige Bühne, perfektes Licht, affengeiler Sound und ein perfekter Camping Ground. Dazu ein guter musikalischer Mix aus allen Metal Genres und last not least wieder ein rühriges Team um Jan Müller. Auf dem Banner steht nicht umsonst „la familia„. La Familia wird hier tatsächlich gelebt.
Den Auftakt am Freitag machten Skelfir aus Bad Marienberg (Rheinland Pfalz) mit ihrem Viking Metal, der voll und ganz auf meiner Wellenlinie lag. Dazu aus Fotografen Sicht eine ansprechende Show. Die Band schaffte es auch umgehend, das Publikum von draußen (30°) in die Halle zu locken und überzeugten durch einen fantastischen musikalischen Einstieg in das Festival!!

The good impression I had of the new location last year was confirmed again this year: bombastic hall, huge stage, perfect lighting, awesome sound and a perfect camping ground. Plus a good musical mix from all metal genres and, last but not least, an energetic team led by Jan Müller. The banner doesn’t say “la familia” for nothing. La familia is actually lived here.
Skelfir from Bad Marienberg (Rhineland-Palatinate) kicked things off on Friday with their Viking Metal, which was right up my street. It was also an appealing show from a photographer’s point of view. The band also immediately managed to lure the audience from outside (30°) into the hall and convinced with a fantastic musical start to the festival!!!
