Phantom Spell kommen aus England und sind keine Band im herkömmlichen Sinne. Mastermind Kyle McNeill scheint offensichtlich ein Multitalent zu sein und in der Lage, alle Instrumente plus Gesang zur Produktion seiner Alben selbst beizusteuern. Live holt er sich dann Musiker hinzu. Tatsächlich wäre ich nicht darauf gekommen, dass Kyle mit wechselnder Besetzung spielt, denn die „Band“ wirkte beim Detze Festival homogen und äußerst perfekt aufeinander eingespielt.
Phantom Spell come from England and are not a band in the conventional sense. Mastermind Kyle McNeill seems to be multi-talented and is able to contribute all the instruments plus vocals to the production of his albums himself. He then brings in musicians live. In fact, I would never have guessed that Kyle plays with a changing line-up, because the “band” at the Detze Festival seemed homogeneous and extremely well-rehearsed.
