Tausendsassa Ricky Warwick scheint Müßiggang zu verachten. Nicht umsonst ist er neben den Black Star Riders und den wiedererstarkten The Almighty auch solo unterwegs. Nicht zu vergessen war er ja auch noch bis 2019 bei Thin Lizzy unter Vertrag.
Auf der Wackinger Stage brauchte es ein paar Minuten, bis man den Eindruck hatte, dass er auf der Bühne angekommen sei. Wobai das Thema „Bühne“ die Frage aufwarf, ob er statt dessen besser auf der Headbanger oder W:E:T Stage aufgehoben gewesen wäre. Der Brite ist allerdings Profi genug, um sich von weniger „geeigneten“ Bühnen aus dem Konzept bringen zu lassen und so entwickelte sich der Set zu einem tollen Gig.
Jack-of-all-trades Ricky Warwick seems to despise idleness. It’s no coincidence that, in addition to the Black Star Riders and the resurgent The Almighty, he’s also performing as a solo artist. Not to mention that he was under contract with Thin Lizzy until 2019.
On the Wackinger Stage, it took a few minutes before you got the impression that he had really settled into the performance. Which, speaking of the “stage,” raised the question of whether he would have been better suited for the Headbanger or W:E:T Stage instead. The Brit, however, is professional enough not to let less “suitable” stages throw him off his game, and so the set turned into a great gig.
