Der Headliner und somit die letzte Band des Sicking High Rock Festivals waren BlackRain aus Frankreich. Dass die Band seit 2001 existiert ist kaum zu glauben, sehen die Musiker doch aus, als seien sie gerade dem Teenageralter entsprungen. Weit gefehlt! Der Stil der Band: Glam, Speed Power Metal, eine geniale Mischung (für mich), die auch das Publikum abholt und noch mal alles vor die Bühne mobilisiert, was nicht zuvor kollabiert am Boden liegt. Angekündigt als die „Mötley Crüe“ aus Frankreich, was zwar auf der einen Seite für die Jungs für ein heftiges Schulterklopfen sorgen dürfte, aber nicht annährend die Qualität der Band korrekt beschreibt. Tolle Band, energiegeladene Show, und für mich die positivste Überraschung des Sicking High Rock Festivals!
An dieser Stelle noch einmal meine allertieftste Verbeugung vor dem SHR Orga Team, welches wieder – und mit jeder Menge Widrigkeiten – ein perfektes Festival auf die Beine gestellt hat.
Ich freue mich auf 2027, dem 10-jährigen Jubiläums des genialen Familientreffens.
The headliner—and thus the final band of the Sicking High Rock Festival—was BlackRain from France. It’s hard to believe the band has been around since 2001, since the musicians look as if they’ve just emerged from their teenage years. Far from it! The band’s style: glam, speed power metal—a brilliant mix (in my opinion) that really gets the crowd going and draws everyone who isn’t already sprawled on the ground back in front of the stage. Billed as the “Mötley Crüe” of France—which, on the one hand, is sure to earn the guys a hearty pat on the back, but doesn’t even come close to accurately describing the band’s quality. Great band, high-energy show, and for me, the most pleasant surprise of the Sicking High Rock Festival!
At this point, I’d like to once again offer my deepest respect to the SHR organizing team, which—despite plenty of adversity—has once again put together a perfect festival.
I’m looking forward to 2027, the 10th anniversary of this brilliant family gathering.
La tête d’affiche, et donc le dernier groupe à se produire au Sicking High Rock Festival, était BlackRain, venu de France. On a du mal à croire que ce groupe existe depuis 2001, tant ses membres ont l’air de sortir tout juste de l’adolescence. Loin de là ! Le style du groupe : glam, speed power metal, un mélange génial (à mon sens) qui a su conquérir le public et mobiliser à nouveau devant la scène tous ceux qui n’étaient pas déjà affalés par terre. Présenté comme le « Mötley Crüe » français, ce qui, d’un côté, devrait valoir aux gars une sacrée tape dans le dos, mais qui est loin de décrire correctement la qualité du groupe. Un groupe génial, un concert plein d’énergie, et pour moi, la plus belle surprise du Sicking High Rock Festival !
Je tiens ici à rendre une nouvelle fois mon hommage le plus sincère à l’équipe organisatrice du SHR, qui a une fois de plus – malgré de nombreuses difficultés – mis sur pied un festival parfait.
J’attends avec impatience 2027, année du 10e anniversaire de ce génial rendez-vous familial.
