Drei Jahre ist es her, dass das Projekt JÄST von Axel Ritt (g), Steven Wussow (Orden Ogan, Ex-Xandria) (bs), Timmi Breideband (Ex-Freedom Call, Ex-Bonfire) (dr) und am Micro Jessica Conte begann. Drei Jahre, in denen kontinuierlich an der Musik gearbeitet wurde und nach und nach einzelne Clips veröffentlicht wurden, bis am 18.04.2026 endlich das erste Output „JÄSTified“ als physische CD verfügbar war.
Und am Tag der Veröffentlichung sollte auch das allererste Konzert der Band gespielt werden. Dafür hatte die Band den Burghof Hühnerstall in Frankfurt gewählt, der auch bestens gefüllt war. Zu meiner Überraschung war ich mit knapp 190 km Anreise nicht der Einzige, der viele Kilometer auf sich genommen hatte.
Vom Opener CU gut aufgewärmt gingen JÄST auf die Bühne und räumten von der ersten Sekunde ab. Die Songs des Debüts, plus ein paar Cover, von denen Rock ’n Roll von Led Zeppelin am besten knallte, kamen live erstaunlich fett. Die Album Produktion ist ja schon der absolute Hammer, aber live packte der Vierer noch einmal eine Schippe drauf.
Die Instrumentalisten sind ja jeder für sich ein Live-Erlebnis, wahre Tiere, was sie auch permanent in der JÄST Formation bewiesen. Und Sängerin Jessica Conte profitiert definitiv von unendlich vielen Live Auftritten mit diversen Coverbands, so dass Ihr Auftritt stimmlich (und optisch) überragend war.
Viele kleine Schritte hat die Band die letzten drei Jahre getan. Der größte und wichtigste war definitiv die erste Live Präsentation. JÄST gehören auf die Bühne, und es bleibt zu hoffen, dass sich die Fans bei vielen Konzerten bald davon überzeugen können.

Three years during which they worked continuously on the music and gradually released individual clips, until on April 18, 2026, their first release, “JÄSTified,” was finally available as a physical CD.
And on the day of the release, the band’s very first concert was also set to take place. For this, the band had chosen the Burghof Hühnerstall in Frankfurt, which was packed to capacity. To my surprise, having traveled nearly 190 km to get there, I wasn’t the only one who had gone to great lengths to attend.
Warmed up nicely by the opener CU, JÄST took the stage and blew everyone away from the very first second. The songs from the debut, plus a few covers—of which Led Zeppelin’s “Rock ’n’ Roll” rocked the hardest—sounded amazingly powerful live. The album production is already absolutely killer, but live, the four-piece took it up a notch.
Each of the instrumentalists is a live experience in their own right—true beasts—something they’ve consistently proven as part of the JÄST lineup. And singer Jessica Conte has definitely benefited from countless live performances with various cover bands, making her performance vocally (and visually) outstanding.
The band has taken many small steps over the past three years. The biggest and most important was definitely their first live performance. JÄST belong on stage, and hopefully fans will soon be able to see that for themselves at many concerts.
