Judas Priest sind aktuell umtriebiger, als vor zwanzig oder dreißig Jahren. So scheint es jedenfalls, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Priester erst im letzten Jahr ihr aktuelles Album „Invincible Shield“ mit Saxon und Uriah Heep im Schlepptau live promotet haben.
Nun sind sie auf „Shield Of Pain Tour“ unterwegs und haben wieder einmal perfekte Anheizer an Bord: Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons und Accept sorgen dafür, dass die Menge bereits auf Siedetemperatur ist, wenn Priest die Bühne betreten.
Und was einem geboten wird, ist über alle Zweifel erhaben: stark veränderte Setlist, ein sich in Höchstform präsentierender Rob Halford und eine vor Spiellaune strotzende Band.
Die Oberhausener Rudolf Weber Arena bestens gefüllt, und die Fans huldigen der Band beim letzten Konzert auf dem Kontinent, so, wie es die Metal Helden verdient haben.
Ein unvergesslicher Abend!!!
Judas Priest are currently busier than they were twenty or thirty years ago. Or so it seems, considering that the priests promoted their latest album “Invincible Shield” live just last year with Saxon and Uriah Heep in tow.
Now they are on their “Shield Of Pain Tour” and once again have the perfect warm-up acts on board: Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons and Accept ensure that the crowd is already at boiling temperature when Priest take to the stage.
And what is on offer is beyond reproach: a heavily modified setlist, a Rob Halford in top form and a band bursting with enthusiasm.
The Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen was filled to capacity and the fans paid homage to the band at their last concert on the continent, just as the metal heroes deserved.
