Das Sauerland macht mobil! Letztes Jahr habe ich das Dragonslayer Festival für mich entdeckt, und es hat so viel positive Eindrücke bei mir (und meinem Kollegen Bernd) hinterlassen, dass es dieses Jahr selbstverständlich wieder auf meinem Kalender stand.
Allerdings war ein paar Wochen vorher noch nicht klar, ob das kleine aber sehr feine Festival auf Grund mangelnder Vorverkäufe überhaupt stattfinden konnte. Da musste noch einmal Einiges an Werbung gemacht werden, um schlussendlich den Break Even zu erreichen. Leider müssen Veranstalter mit den Vorverkäufen planen, so dass ich an dieser Stelle noch einmal dazu aufrufe, Konzerte und Festivals durch zeitige Kartenkäufe zu sichern!
Als erste Band des Festivals stiegen Bleed The Radiator aus Lennestadt auf die Bühne. Die Band ist eine Coverband, die den Micro Job mit Sängerin und Sänger doppelt besetzt hat. Der Set war ordentlich und die Songs von Metallica über Accept, Dio bis zu Iron Maiden amtlich. Lediglich als letztes Stück „Nena“ aus der Kiste zu holen, hätte sich die Band wirklich schenken können.
The Sauerland region is getting mobile! Last year, I discovered the Dragonslayer Festival, and it left such a positive impression on me (and my colleague Bernd) that it was naturally on my calendar again this year.
However, a few weeks before the event, it was still unclear whether the small but very fine festival would even take place due to a lack of advance ticket sales. A lot of advertising had to be done to finally reach the break-even point. Unfortunately, organizers have to plan based on advance ticket sales, so I would like to take this opportunity to once again urge everyone to secure concerts and festivals by buying tickets early!
Bleed The Radiator from Lennestadt were the first band to take the stage at the festival. The band is a cover band that has double-cast the micro job with a female and male singer. The set was neat and the songs from Metallica to Accept, Dio to Iron Maiden were official. The band really could have done without pulling “Nena” out of the box as their last song.
