Grotesco Karma traten als Trio auf (Drums, Gitarre, Gesang), obwohl meine Recherchen im Netz ergaben, dass da noch einige Musiker mehr am Werk sind. Die Band stammt aus Griechenland und vereint in ihrer Musik traditionelle Klänge bis hin zum derbsten Metal. Grotesco Karma beschreiben ihre Musik selbst als „Grotesker/ Avantgarde Metal mit traditioneller/ okkulter Ästhetik“, was immer man darunter verstehen will.
Ich muss gestehen, dass ich kein Freund von gesampelten Sounds bin; allerdings sind die Songs der Band derart komplex, dass eine Live Performance wie auf Platte kaum umsetzbar ist.
Definitiv ein interessanter Auftritt.
Grotesco Karma performed as a trio (drums, guitar, vocals), although my online research revealed that there are a few more musicians at work. The band comes from Greece and their music combines traditional sounds with the roughest metal. Grotesco Karma describe their music as “grotesque/ avant-garde metal with traditional/ occult aesthetics”, whatever you want to understand by that.
I have to admit that I’m not a fan of sampled sounds; however, the band’s songs are so complex that a live performance like on record is hardly feasible.
Definitely an interesting gig.
