Threshold is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their album Hypothetical with a tour that included a stop at my second living room, the Kubana in Siegburg. The British prog-metal band has been around for 38 years now, but has never quite made it to the top; instead, they delight their fans on a regular basis with new releases from the “second tier.” By then, the club was packed—a clear sign that the crowd had turned out exclusively for the British band. And there’s no doubt that Threshold delivered.

For me, it was a night of prog that actually brought to light a few musical gems.
