Ich muss gestehen, dass Running Wild<\/strong> ganz ganz oben auf meiner Liste f\u00fcrs Wacken 2026<\/strong> standen. Ich habe Rock’n’Rolf<\/strong> und Band tats\u00e4chlich nie live gesehen und war um so erfreuter, dass es wenigsten zum Abschluss seiner Live-Karriere endlich geklappt hat. Running Wild<\/strong> haben geniale Alben herausgebracht, haben aber auch im Laufe der Jahrzehnte jede Menge Schelte einstecken m\u00fcssen. Zum einen, weil ihr „Studio-Drummer“ immer wieder im Fokus stand (mehr will ich dazu nicht sagen), zum anderen wurden die sp\u00e4teren Alben immer mehr verrissen. Schaut man aber mit Abstand auf die Werke der Band, muss man den Jungs eingestehen, dass sie jede Menge Killersongs ver\u00f6ffentlicht haben, eben weil sie ihrem Stil treu geblieben sind. Die Show war f\u00fcr mich DAS Erlebnis dieses Jahr in Wacken,<\/strong> ein bisher unerf\u00fcllter Traum wurde wahr, ein fantastische Gig. Und daf\u00fcr bin ich aus tiefstem Herzen dankbar!<\/p>\n

I have to admit that Running Wild was right at the top of my list for Wacken 2026. I\u2019d actually never seen Rock\u2019n\u2019Rolf and the band live, so I was all the more delighted that it finally worked out\u2014at least to mark the end of his live career. Running Wild has released some brilliant albums, but they\u2019ve also had to endure a lot of criticism over the decades. On the one hand, because their \u201cstudio drummer\u201d was constantly in the spotlight (I won\u2019t say any more about that); on the other hand, their later albums were increasingly panned. But if you take a step back and look at the band\u2019s body of work, you have to give the guys credit for releasing a ton of killer songs\u2014precisely because they\u2019ve stayed true to their style. For me, the show was THE highlight of this year\u2019s Wacken; a long-held dream came true\u2014a fantastic gig. And for that, I\u2019m grateful from the bottom of my heart!<\/em><\/p>\n
