Blaze Bayley<\/strong> machte beim Detze 2026<\/strong> am Samstag den Deckel drauf. Unwetter hatten sich heute fern gehalten und zu sp\u00e4ter Abendzeit waren die Temperaturen halbwegs ertr\u00e4glich. Zwanzig Minuten nach Mitternacht war dann das Der Detze Rockt Festival 2026<\/strong> Geschichte. Erneut eine gute Orga, die allerdings hier und da im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren einige \u00c4nderungen ins Spiel gebracht hat, die nicht nur bei mir ein Geschm\u00e4ckle hinterlie\u00df. \nBlaze<\/strong> hatte bereits 2022 auf dem Detze<\/strong> gespielt. Dieses Jahr war er urspr\u00fcnglich nicht als Headliner geplant. Die relativ kurzfristige und sehr bedauerliche Absage von Hauptact Riot<\/strong> indes hievten ihn im Billing nach oben.
\nDie Diskussion, wer, warum der bessere Maiden<\/strong> S\u00e4nger war\/ist, will ich gar nicht f\u00fchren. Das Thema kann man eigentlich nur totreden. Fakt ist, dass der Brite ohne Frage seine Anh\u00e4nger hat und dass der Iron Maiden<\/strong> Set beim Publikum mehr als gut ankam. Das lag aber ohne Zweifel auch an der grandiosen Band des S\u00e4ngers. Blaze<\/strong> bedient sich seit l\u00e4ngerem der kompletten Absolva<\/strong> Mannschaft, die wie eine Bank hinter dem Shouter steht.
\nWas die Setlist allerdings anging: da h\u00e4tte ich mir ein paar andere Songs gew\u00fcnscht. Aber das Leben ist kein Wunschkonzert….
\nLeider wurde mir die M\u00f6glichkeit von Bayleys<\/strong> Lebensgef\u00e4hrtin genommen, Drummer Martin McNee<\/strong> von der B\u00fchne abzulichten. „No pctures from the stage!“ „Why?“ „Because I’m his wife“. Tolle Begr\u00fcndung. Tut mir echt leid f\u00fcr Martin,<\/strong> aber da konnte ich nichts machen….<\/p>\n
\nWas das Billing anging, w\u00e4re die Urspr\u00fcngliche Planung mit 1349<\/strong> und Riot<\/strong> noch einen Tick geiler gewesen; aber da steckt man als Veranstalter nicht drin; und es kann durchaus schlimmer kommen: siehe das ACFM Festival<\/strong> im Mai.<\/p>\n
\nBlaze had already played at Detze in 2022. He wasn\u2019t originally scheduled to headline this year. However, the relatively last-minute and very unfortunate cancellation by the headliner, Riot, moved him up in the lineup.<\/em>
\nI don\u2019t even want to get into the debate about who was\u2014or is\u2014the better Iron Maiden singer and why. That topic is basically a dead end. The fact is that the Brit undoubtedly has his fans, and that the Iron Maiden set went over extremely well with the audience. But that was undoubtedly also due to the singer\u2019s magnificent band. Blaze has long relied on the entire Absolva crew, who stand behind him like a rock.<\/em>
\nAs for the setlist, though, I would have liked to hear a few different songs. But life isn\u2019t a request show….<\/em>
\nUnfortunately, Bayley\u2019s partner denied me the chance to take a photo of drummer Martin McNee from the stage. \u201cNo pictures from the stage!\u201d \u201cWhy?\u201d \u201cBecause I\u2019m his wife.\u201d Great excuse. I really feel bad for Martin, but there was nothing I could do….<\/em><\/p>\n
\nAs for the lineup, the original plan featuring 1349 and Riot would have been just a tad cooler; but as an organizer, there\u2019s not much you can do about that; and things could definitely be worse\u2014just look at the ACFM Festival in May.<\/em><\/p>\n
