Santiano<\/strong> haben sich von einer Shanty Band recht schnell in breiteres Fahrwasser gebracht. Das typisch deutsche „Schubladendenken“ funktioniert in der heimischen Musik schon l\u00e4nger nicht mehr und auch die Schleswig Holsteiner z\u00e4hlen Leute aus den unterschiedlichsten Lagern zu ihren Fans.
\nSchafften es Santiano<\/strong> 2023 in Wacken<\/strong> vor der Harder Stage<\/strong> 60000 Leute zu mobilisieren, so war die K\u00f6lner Lanxess Arena<\/strong> mit sch\u00e4tzungsweise 15000 Besuchern recht gut gef\u00fcllt. Unterschied zu Wacken?<\/strong> Das dort altersm\u00e4\u00dfig \u00fcberwiegend gut gemischte Publikum, war in der Lanxess Arena<\/strong> eher im Schnitt 10-20 Jahre \u00e4lter.
\nDie Setlist um Meer, Sehnsucht und Freiheit war bei der „Da braut sich was zusammen – Die gro\u00dfe Arena Tour<\/strong>“ mit 27 Songs deutlich l\u00e4nger und mit jeder Menge neuem Material aufgepumpt als in Wacken,<\/strong> vielleicht gerade am Anfang etwas „gem\u00e4\u00dfigter“, was den K\u00f6lner Hexenkessel vom ersten Ton an dennoch zum Kochen brachte, im zweiten Teil des Sets allerdings ging es etwas heftiger zur Sache, so dass wohl kaum jemand im Publikum unzufrieden nach Hause ging.
\nViel Zeit lie\u00df sich zwischen den Songs Fronter Bj\u00f6rn Both<\/strong>, um deutlich zu machen, dass Santiano<\/strong> keine politische Band im \u00fcblichen Sinne sind, es sich dennoch auf die Fahne geschrieben haben, verbale Attacken gegen die Despoten aus Ost und West zu f\u00fchren und die Forderung nach Frieden und Freiheit in die Welt zu schreien. Ein „besonderer Gru\u00df“ ging an den orangen Orang Utan in den USA.
\nOhne Zweifel ein tolles Konzert mit jeder Menge H\u00f6hepunkte.<\/p>\n

Santiano quickly moved beyond their roots as a shanty band to reach a wider audience. The typical German tendency to pigeonhole artists hasn\u2019t worked in the domestic music scene for quite some time now, and the band from Schleswig-Holstein counts fans from all walks of life among their supporters.<\/em>
\nWhile Santiano managed to draw a crowd of 60,000 at the Harder Stage in Wacken in 2023, the Lanxess Arena in Cologne was quite well-filled with an estimated 15,000 attendees. The difference from Wacken? The audience there, which was predominantly well-mixed in terms of age, was on average 10\u201320 years older at the Lanxess Arena.<\/em>
\nThe setlist, centered on the sea, longing, and freedom, was significantly longer on the „Da braut sich was zusammen \u2013 The Great Arena Tour,\u201c with 27 songs, was significantly longer and packed with plenty of new material compared to Wacken; perhaps a bit \u201dmore subdued“ at the start, which nonetheless brought the Cologne cauldron to a boil from the very first note. In the second half of the set, however, things got a bit more intense, so that hardly anyone in the audience went home dissatisfied.<\/em>
\nFrontman Bj\u00f6rn Both took plenty of time between songs to make it clear that Santiano are not a political band in the usual sense, yet have made it their mission to launch verbal attacks against despots from East and West and to shout their demand for peace and freedom to the world. A \u201cspecial greeting\u201d went out to the orange orangutan in the USA.<\/em>
\nWithout a doubt, a great concert with plenty of highlights.<\/em><\/p>\n
