Mir ist weltweit kein Act bekannt, der seine Fan Nähe derart intensiv mit Herzblut pflegt, wie Doro. Und so kamen 15 Die Hard Fans am 05. April in der angesagtesten Hard Rock Kneipe Düsseldorfs, dem Papidoux zusammen, um ein paar nette Stunden mit der Metal Queen zu verbringen. Unter anderem reisten die Fans aus der Ukraine, Norwegen oder Luxemburg an.
Jeder Einzelne bekam seine persönliche Doro Zeit. Gespräche, Autogramme und, was wirklich beeindruckend war, ein Konzert mit Song Wünschen der Fans; egal, welchen Doro/Warlock Song die Leute hören wollten, der wurde gespielt und von Doro mitgesungen.
Hochachtung an das Papidoux Team, was bestens vorbereitet war.
Ein paar Tage vor diesem Treffen erhielten Claudia und ich die Einladung von Doro, an diesem Tag mit dabei zu sein. Eine große Ehre und Freude für uns. Auf diesem Weg noch einmal unseren tiefsten Dank.
Das Papidoux sagte mir nichts; lediglich, dass es, wie Doro mir erklärte, (natürlich) in der Düsseldorfer Altstadt läge. Als wir dann dort eintrafen, lichtete sich der Schleier der vermeintlichen Unwissenheit. Wir waren schonmal hier und zwar 1987 zusammen mit dem ehemaligen Warlock Gitarristen Rudy Graf. Der Kreis schließt sich….
I don’t know of any other act in the world that cultivates its fan proximity with such passion as Doro. And so 15 Die Hard fans came together on April 5 in Düsseldorf’s hippest hard rock pub, the Papidoux, to spend a few pleasant hours with the metal queen. Among others, fans traveled from the Ukraine, Norway and Luxembourg.
Everyone got their own personal Doro time. Conversations, autographs and, what was really impressive, a concert with song requests from the fans; no matter which Doro/Warlock song people wanted to hear, it was played and sung along to by Doro.
Kudos to the Papidoux team, who were very well prepared.
A few days before this meeting, Claudia and I received an invitation from Doro to be there that day. A great honor and pleasure for us. Once again, our deepest thanks.
The Papidoux didn’t tell me anything; only that it was, as Doro explained to me, (of course) in Düsseldorf’s old town. When we got there, the veil of supposed ignorance was lifted. We had been here before, in 1987, together with former Warlock guitarist Rudy Graf. The circle closes….
